Beihua Guo (b. 1998, Shanghai, China) is a visual artist working in photography, video, and installation. He holds a BA in Studio Art and Environmental Analysis from Pitzer College and is currently pursuing an MFA in Studio Art (Photography, Video and Imaging) at the University of Arizona.
Guo works across traditional and contemporary photographic processes to uncover histories of colonialism, extraction, and displacement embedded in the landscape. Other parts of his practice are quieter and more intuitive, drawing from Chinese philosophical traditions to explore solitude and perception. His satirical work takes a different approach, using humor and absurdity to expose contradictions in the way the world is organized.
He has received support and recognition from The Alexia, The Aftermath Project, the Lucie Foundation, the Society for Photographic Education, the John Goto Prize, the TOP20 Contemporary Chinese Photography Award, and the Three Shadows Photography Award. He has exhibited internationally at institutions and festivals including Photoville, Zhejiang Art Museum, the Royal Photographic Society, Photo Beijing, Nizhny Tagil Museum of Fine Arts, Three Shadows Photography Art Centre, and Photo Open Up Festival. He has been an artist-in-residence at Petrified Forest National Park, Lassen Volcanic National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Yangshuo Sugar House, and Sunyata Hotel Wuli Village.
郭备华，1998年出生于中国上海，本科毕业于美国匹泽学院 (Pitzer College) 艺术与环境研究双专业，目前就读于亚利桑那大学（University of Arizona）摄影MFA项目。
郭备华运用传统与当代摄影工艺，追溯殖民、资源开采与迁徙在当代景观中留下的痕迹。他的另一些作品则更为安静、内省，从中国哲学出发，思考孤独与感知；也有作品借助讽刺与荒诞质疑人世间的矛盾。
他曾获得的荣誉与资金支持包括：TOP20·2025 中国当代摄影新锐、三影堂摄影奖、Alexia 基金会、The Aftermath 基金会、Lucie 基金会、美国摄影教育学会（SPE）、以及 John Goto 摄影奖等。他的作品曾在三影堂摄影艺术中心、浙江美术馆、北京国际摄影周、英国皇家摄影协会、Photoville 摄影节，Photo Open Up 摄影节、下塔吉尔美术馆等地展出。他曾参与美国石化林国家公园、美国拉森火山国家公园、美国黄石国家公园、阳朔糖舍、既下山·雾里等艺术家驻地项目。
